Flexible postgraduate study
There are many different routes to success at the University of Bradford.
We were one of the first universities in the UK to offer part-time degree courses, and we are committed to providing innovative and flexible methods of learning and teaching.
Many of our postgraduate courses can be studied either full or part-time to help you balance your work, life and studies.
Flexible start dates
Most of our taught courses start in September, but some have a January start date and others have multiple intakes throughout the year.
Details can be found on the individual course pages.
Research students can start at various times of the year depending on the Faculty and your supervisor. For more information see Supporting our Research Students.
I chose to do the course part-time because I'm working. It means I get to spend time with my baby daughter, and doing it part-time gives me opportunities to get more involved with other things around the University - like founding and being president of the Computing Society.
It's just one of a number of distance learning courses offered by the University of Bradford.
If you enrol on an eligible course you will have access to all the University's support services and resources, despite not being on campus.
You will also have access to other libraries around the country through the Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL).
Many of our postgraduate courses give you the option of building up to a Master's degree over time by studying for intermediate awards - such as a PgCert or PgDip - or in some cases you can take individual modules without committing to a full award.
It gives you more flexibility as you can take a break between awards if you want to - and means you gain a postgraduate qualification sooner than you might have expected.
All of the Faculty of Health's postgraduate courses are modular, giving you the opportunity to build a degree based on your own needs.
I'm doing my PgDip now and going to do my Master's, but having the PgCert already has a massive impact on my desirability as a radiographer. I’m a lot more desirable to units now, and people have more confidence in me.
