University announces 2019 series of business growth events

Published:

Bradford's young, ambitious businesses are being urged to register for a new series of fully funded business growth workshops available from the University of Bradford.

Known as the Bradford Business Pathway, the package of seven, weekly, bite-sized sessions are delivered by a team of business growth specialists, each tackling key business growth topics such as sales, finance, marketing and getting paid.

Places are available free of charge to eligible pre-start, new and young companies in the Leeds City Region through AD:VENTURE, an ERDF funded programme for businesses with potential for growth.

The latest series follows on the heels of the University of Bradford Young Business Pathway, which ran in 2018. James, founder of Bradford based food safety consultancy Easy Check, was one of 60 fledgling entrepreneurs to benefit from last year’s events programme.

James said: "I found the University of Bradford Business Pathway programme extremely beneficial - it gave me the confidence to take my concept a step further.”

Professor Zahir Irani, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Law at Bradford, said: “This highly practical series of events is designed to propel young businesses along their journey of business growth.”

“We welcome applications from pre-starts, sole traders, partnerships and businesses with less than three years trading experience”, he added.

The programme runs at Heaton Mount, part of the university’s Emm Lane campus on the outskirts of the city and begins on 16 January. For more information and to register email adventure@bradford.ac.uk.
