Teaching and Supervisory Responsibilities
I teach across the pre-registration curriculum, and deliver the majority of Return To Practice programme.
Programme and module leadership.
Office hours vary based on demand of clinical support required. However generally I will be available 9:00-16:00 Monday to Friday, and the best method of contact is Email.
I have worked either for or with the NHS in Bradford since 1992. Much of this time has been spent in education both with local NHS trust and here at the University.
My main areas of interest involve:
- Clinical skills (including manual handling and intra-venous access).
- Preparation and support for clinical placements
- Students returning to practice after a career break
- MSc (Pending)
- PGDip, Health professional education
- BSc, Nursing
- Dip, Fitness and Nutrition
1992-2005: Various positions for Bradford Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust (Including phlebotomy, haematology and training department)
I am a member of the Faculty’s Equality & Diversity and Disclosure and Barring panels
Currently completing my MSc.
As part of the Practice Education Support Team, I network on a weekly basis with practice partners across the Bradford area.
Service users have input into the provision of teaching for the Return To practice programme I lead.
There is involvement in all aspects of the pre-registration nursing curriculum from admission to curriculum design.
