The Bradford Futures Scholarship

The Bradford Futures Fund supports those who might otherwise struggle to afford to study for a life-changing degree.

This fund supports promising home undergraduate students who are underrepresented within Higher Education through an annual scholarship of £1,500.

This additional support will be guaranteed for students for the entirety of their degree, helping to ease the financial burden and the anxiety this can create.

Transforming lives

It is thanks to the generosity of our donors that the Bradford Futures Fund can support a growing number of students each year. For the 2023/24 academic year, we are proud to be able to award 26 Bradford Futures Fund scholarships, increasing from 14 awarded in the previous year.

Since the fund’s launch in 2021/22, 47 Bradford Futures Fund scholarships have been awarded. The first of these students will graduate next summer, and when they cross the stage of the Great Hall, they will know that it has been made possible by the support of our donors.

The funding offered through these scholarships is an essential lifeline for these students. We believe that an individual’s ability to succeed should not be hindered by their financial circumstances, and awards from the Fund will enable them to complete their studies and go on to do impactful work with their degree from Bradford.

BA and Social Work student Samea met with Anne Maclean, the donor of the Bradford Futures Fund Scholarship she received, to discuss how her donation is supporting her time at the university.
