Entry requirements

Candidates should be able to exhibit both professional qualifications and clinical practice.

A medical or dental qualification e.g. MBChB, MBBS, BDS, BChD.

Registration with the GMC or GDC of the UK.

A minimum of two years clinical practice following GMC or GDC registration, with an additional year in specialist practice.

English language requirements

IELTS at 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the sub tests (or the equivalent).

Learning and assessment

The award of MD will be granted following the successful completion of a scientific research study conducted in the laboratories of the University of Bradford. 

Successful completion will be evidenced by a written thesis or publications and defence of the scientific work at viva voce.

Early progression in this award will be evidenced by a written review of the scientific and clinical literature of publishable quality within 4-6 months of registration for the award of MD.

Students will have a minimum of two University academic supervisors and one clinical supervisor.
